Miami County
Welcome to Miami County Senior Services a program of Community
Action Partnership of Greater Dayton. Miami County Senior
services offers senior citizens 60 years old or older services
that enables them to continue to live in their own homes with
dignity and pride. Below is a list of the services we offer.
Energy Assistance Program
The Summer Crisis Program assists with electric bills only
under limited situations and may enable an individual with
respiratory problems to receive an air conditioner. The Winter
Crisis Program operates from November through March each year,
and can pay up to $175.00 to maintain, restore or initiate
utility service. Assistance with bulk fuel may also be provided.
Seniors may receive assistance with completing the State HEAP
(Home Energy Assistance Program) Application Form November
30, thru March 31.
Home Delivered Meals
Home delivered meals are provided to seniors ages 60 years
or older and their spouses regardless of age. Seniors that
are physically or mentally disabled or otherwise unable
to attend one of the meal sites. A suggested donation of
$1.50 per meal is accepted. For more information please

Homemaker Services
Homemaker Services are available to residents age 60 years
and older that require assistance that will allow them to
live independently in their own homes. Services include
light housekeeping, laundry, shopping, and picking up prescriptions.
A suggested donation of $5.00 per hour is accepted.

Miami County Senior Services maintains a comprehensive information

Transportation
Transportation services enables seniors age 60 or older
to participate in the congregate meal sites located at the
Kennedy Hall site in Troy, Ohio, the Covington Church in
Covington, Ohio and Steak and Shake breakfast meal site
in Troy, Ohio. Suggested donation of $ .25 each way is accepted.
