Case Management
Case management and family support services are provided to individuals and families living in targeted neighborhoods to eliminate barriers that prevent self-sufficiency. Goal-setting and follow-up are emphasized. Contact Jerry Copeland at jerryc@cap-dayton.org .

Community Development & Education
Join with others for community change. Opportunities are available to learn about and get involved in local, state and national issues affecting low-income people. To get involved, email Lorana Kelly at loranak@cap-dayton.org.

Computer Literacy Program
Individuals who want to learn or enhance their computer skills are encouraged to take free courses.Classes are available on both the Beginner's and Intermediate Levels and cover topic including basic concepts, word processing, proofing and editing, World Wide Web and sending and receiving e-mail. Classes are small and individualized attention is given. Interest individuals can sign-up for this free program by contacting Ms. LaSandra Wright at lasandraw@cap-dayton.org.

Emergency Services
Individuals or families in need of food, clothing, housing and help paying water bills may receive assistance in meeting their emergency needs. For more information email jerryc@cap-dayton.org.

Home Weatherization Assistance Program
Low-income homeowners and renters may be eligible to receive: free attic and sidewall insulation, weather stripping, safety inspections of furnaces and water heaters, furnace repairs, and consumer education to reduce the cost of their energy bills. Housing Relocation

Micro-Enterprise Business Development & Training Program
Individuals learn how to start and operate a home-based or second income business, while being instructed on how to complete a business plan. Persons completing the course may apply for a low-interest loan. Please contact lasandraw@cap-dayton.org to be added to the mailing list for this program. Medical Transportation
Limited transportation assistance is provided to low-income, elderly/disabled Montgomery County residents. Individuals must also register with RTA’s Project Mobility Program. The program is designed to increase access to essential health care. To receive services or for detailed eligibility information, please contact debrad@cap-dayton.org.

Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP)
Households with an annual income at or below 150 percent of the federal poverty level may be placed on a payment plan with their regulated utility company at the Community Action Partnership. This plan known as PIPP allows income eligible households to pay a small percentage of their monthly income to maintain service. To schedule an appointment, please call 1-866-504-7379.

Summer/Winter Crisis Program
The Summer Crisis Program assists with electric bills only under limited situations and may enable an individual with respiratory problems to receive an air conditioner. The Winter Crisis Program operates from November through March each year, and can pay up to $175.00 to maintain, restore or initiate utility service. Assistance with bulk fuel may also be provided. VITA Program
Through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA), trained volunteers may complete simple State and Federal income tax forms for low-to-moderate income workers at no cost. Youth Services
The Youth Empowerment Center is home to many of our Youth Programs that serve young people throughout Montgomery County. Programs include targeted case management, and focus on education, financial literacy, mentoring, parental involvement, and youth entrepreneurship. The center is located at 716 E. Bridging-the-Gap - The Bridging-the-Gap Program is designed to eliminate barriers for non-traditional high school students who are working toward their educational or occupational goals. Through intensive case management, we will link students to community services and provide a support system to address social, economic and educational needs. JIANTS - The Junior Inventors Achieve Notable Team Success (JIANTS) Program is a fun and interactive financial literacy based program for Trotwood Madison Middle School students. JIANTS also incorporates preparing applications, resume and cover letter writing, interviewing, communication skills, time management and appropriate personal hygiene. Juvenile Mentoring Program - JUMP is a collaboration with members of the community and at-risk youths to improve their academic performance and enhance their overall school experience, while reducing negative behaviors. To become a mentor or mentee in the JUMP Program, contact Sean Walton at seanw@cap-dayton.org.
