Youth Empowerment Center

Community Action Partnership’s Youth Empowerment Center provides a safe, nurturing environment for youth.  At the center, they obtain helpful information and gain positive experiences that assist them to shape their character and their values.

The program serves youth ages 7 to 18.  Professional staff  provide programming that focuses on:

  • Entrepreneurship
  • Financial management and
  • Life-skills

At the center, young people are provided with social skills and character development education, with the goal of increasing their personal and professional achievement.

Community service/volunteerism is strongly emphasized and is viewed as an honored responsibility, as opposed to a burden.  Youth are encouraged to make a life-long commitment to helping others, as they themselves have been helped.

Youth Empowerment Center participants are exposed to higher education, as early as age 7.  This is done, with the goal of motivating them to achieve high academic performance, so that they may pursue higher education.

The center offers the following services:

  • Case Management
  • Community Awareness
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Cultural & Enrichment Activities
  • Field Trips
  • Self-Development Plans
  • Tutoring
  • Mentoring

The Youth Empowerment Center is always seeking volunteers to be a part of our efforts.  Volunteers are needed to mentor youth, provide tutoring, and serve as guest presenters.   If you want to be involved, please contact us at capyec@cap-dayton.org.  To obtain more information about the center, please call (937) 837-5165.
