Metropolitan Housing AuthorityCommunity Action Partnership is the managing agent for the Darke County Metropolitan Housing Authority (DCMHA) and administers the Housing Choice Voucher Program. This is a rental subsidy program for eligible low-income families, elderly and disabled persons. Customers are screened for income eligibility, and the units are inspected for Housing Quality Standards. Rents are compared to current market rent rates. DCMHA has two preference points: the homeless and veterans. Moving Ohio Forward The Darke County Metropolitan Housing Authority (DCMHA) was named the lead entity in Darke County for the Moving Ohio Foarward Demolition Grant Program and has received $245,000 in funds to demolish vacant, abandoned and blighted properties that detract from existing home values and create a toxic breeding ground for crime. As the lead entity, DCMHA will collaborate with all local governments and other interested organizations within Darke County to recliam neighborhoods by demolishing blighted structures. Family Supportive Housing Family Supportive Housing is available for families that are seeking safe, affordable housing for up to 11 months to receive intensive case management.
