We contract with Supports for Low-Income Families (SELF) to provide intake services for the Home Weatherization Assistance Program. Below is a detailed description of weatherization services and how you may contact SELF for more information or to apply for services. WeatherizationThe Weatherization Program is seeking qualified HVAC service contractors. An informational meeting will be held Friday, Nov. 18, at 701 S. Patterson Blvd., Dayton, Ohio. Learn more. Weatherization is a residential energy efficiency program, that reduces energy use. Homeowners and renters may be eligible to receive free services on their home to make it more safe, comfortable and energy efficient. Qualifying customers may receive an energy audit from a certified inspector. Services they may receive include attic, sidewall and basement insulation, weather stripping, safety inspections of furnaces and water heaters and heating systems repairs or replacements. All participants of the program receive consumer education to help reduce the cost of their energy bills. The program is funded by Vectren Energy Delivery of Ohio and provides free services to make customers’ homes more safe and energy efficient.
