CAP 'n Energy and the Energy Team Teach Children to be
Energy Smart from the Start!

Community Action Partnership and the Weatherization Department believe that energy consumption is a very important topic nationwide. For this reason we have designed CAP ‘n’ Energy and the Energy Team, along with a presentation and materials to present to area schools.
CAP ‘n’ Energy and the Energy Team, a superhero and his friends, have a commitment to educate young children in kindergarten through second grade about the importance of energy conservation. Our goal is to start children early on a path toward energy efficiency, and ultimately self-sufficiency.
The presentation includes a fun skit, where CAP ‘n’ Energy and his team share everyday tips to maintaining an energy efficient lifestyle. The skit combines repetition, visuals and interaction to help the children retain what they have learned. In the past two years, the agency has presented CAP ‘n Energy to more than 1,000 K-2 students in our service area.
In addition to introducing CAP ‘n Energy and the Energy Team, we are also pleased to premiere Energy Smart from the Start, a custom coloring book that features the Energy Team and the tips provided during the skit. The book is part of our effort to create a national recognition of this important cause.
CAP 'n is available to share his energy smarts with students throughout the year. Contact capevents@cap-dayton.org to learn more!
